Feather's Charm presents...
Made for Everyone's A Critic...
Today’s review will be going back to my new skincare routine. As you all know, I follow the 10-step Korean skincare regime, and I absolutely love it. If you haven’t checked out my review, go ahead and find it at Skin Deep Beauty. It’s worth a read if you’d like to know how to do it.
In this review, I’m going to look at one of the products that I’ve used for the last year or two, as part of my daily routine. This one is one I’d file under the “Oil Cleanser”. It’s the first part of the routine, so it’s pretty important, especially if you have makeup on or you’ve been out and about, and your skin is dying from the exposure.
What's The Point?
If you’re like me, and you wear a mask of makeup, not only to hide those imperfections, but to protect against the elements, and because you like the full look, then you’re definitely going to need this part. It not only takes off makeup, but completely clears your skin of it.
Now, I still suggest using makeup wipes, just before you use the cleanser, purely because it might not get everything. What I mean is, the cleanser is designed for Korean makeup, so they mostly use CC creams, not heavy foundations. So, if you do use Western makeup techniques, still use the wipes as your first step, only because you have layers on your face that won’t quite come off.
Ok, so the product I’ll be reviewing is the…
Banila Co. Clean It Zero Cleanser
You might have heard of it; you might not have. It’s depends on your research, but Banila Co. is one that is highly recommended by so many beauty bloggers/vloggers, and you’ll see why.
Let's Look At The Science
First off, let me tell you a little more about it. When you use it, don’t be afraid to be generous, especially if you’re skipping the makeup wipes. The product lasts for at least two months, so you’ll be good for a while.
I’m not too sure about this, but if you’re vegan, look closely at the label. I’m not too sure if it’s vegan friendly. From what I’ve glanced at it, it might be, but you guys have better eyes than me. So be cautious if you’re thinking about it. However, it is made WITHOUT parabens, alcohol, sulphates, phthalates, and mineral oil, so if you’re worried about it being toxic, you’re good.
So, what do I think about this cleanser? I love it. I cannot sing its praises more. While I haven’t tried using it on a full face of makeup, I still think it’s amazing. Every time I do use it, I don’t feel like my pores are blocked, and when I do have makeup on, I know it gets rid of even the tiniest residue, so my face really does feel new and refreshed.
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants that uber clean feeling. There are some of you that don’t mind the standard face wash, but I get paranoid about the residue makeup leaves, even if you get all of it with a face wipe. So, using Banila Co. and the Korean skincare routine, I feel so much cleaner than if I didn’t.
So, have you tried using Banila Co. before? If you have, what did you think of it? Did it hurt? Did it work for you? Did it make your skin blotchy? Let me know. I’d like to hear your stories.
In the meantime, I’ll see what other options are out there, and let you guys know what else could work for you. So, I’ll see you guys then!
