It has been a while, since I last talked about Supernatural, but that’s only because I haven’t been keeping up to date with it, at least, in the last year or so, thanks to work and then COVID and pretty much everything else that just got in the way.
However, that does not mean I’m not a fan anymore, on the contrary…
I MISS THE BOYS!
Yes, I know Supernatural has come to an end, and yes, there’s a lot of flak about it, but I haven’t watched it yet, so those boys are still going strong for me. Anyway, why am I talking about them again? Well…let’s just say they tie in with what I’m watching right now.
The Boys Vs Real Life
Ok, so, why did I start to talk about these boys again? Well, recently, I’ve been binge watching a series, which can be considered simply entertainment, or actual fact, if you believe in the Paranormal. Personally, I believe it, although I am one of those types of people who would rather leave these sorts of things alone, because not only can harm come to you, but it’s just a really creepy experience, that I’d love to never go through!
If you’ve guessed from those sentences, you probably know that I’m watching…
Yes, I am, and honestly, this shows really gives me the creeps! I have to wear my crucifix just to calm me down (and yes, I am Catholic). Anyway, despite having watched Supernatural and learning how to defend against these spirits and monsters, you’d think I’d have no problem watching Ghost Adventures…
The fact that these boys are taunting and provoking these spirits, gives me the chills! I mean, if it were Sam and Dean doing this and documenting these hauntings, they’d definitely find a way to send these spirits on or burn them down. Of course, that’s not possible in real life, so when Zak and his crew go out and do these things, I really do get scared for them!
However, that’s not to say that it’s not entertaining watching them interact with ghosts and get some evidence of the paranormal. I mean, I’d prefer if I didn’t believe ghosts are real, but I am somewhat superstitious (I mean I follow my horoscope sometimes, just to reaffirm my motivations and ambitions), and watching these sorts of programs kind of validates that superstition. Of course, I’m not going to try to prove that these spirits exist, because I know there are many sceptics out there, but don’t ridicule me because I believe. After all, it’s because I believe that I absolutely love Supernatural.
We’re One Big Family
Ok, so with Ghost Adventures still in my watch list, I know for a fact that once I’ve finished, I’m returning to Supernatural, to calm me down, because not only do they treat ghost hunting as a legitimate job (which honestly the boys really should be paid for), but as the seasons go on, you just find yourself loving the characters both good and bad, because there’s always a story behind them. They’re not bad for the sake of being bad, they’ve got their reasons, and they seem more human than anything, because of it.
I also feel like, if ever I had to ghost hunt with the boys, both Zak and crew, and Sam and Dean, I’d feel so safe! I mean, yeah, ok, they’re hunks and they’re physically capable (yes, ok, I have a crush on them!), but the fact that they have experience in ghost hunting just makes me feel like, if I had to, I wouldn’t be so scared. I mean Zak and the others could distract the ghosts, while Sam and Dean keep me safe! I mean, even though it’s just my imagination, if it were real, it is a win-win in my books.
Well…it seems I have an idea for a Fan-Fiction crossover…unless someone’s already done one, in which case, if you’ve read one, send me a link so I can read it too! I mean I’d love to see Zak and Dean squaring off with ghosts and taunting them, to get them to stop hurting people!
Let’s Go On A Ghost Hunt
Now, I’m not going to take up any more time from you guys, but I’d like to hear your honest opinion about Supernatural, and Ghost Adventures. I mean, if you’ve watched either, what did you think about them? If you’ve watched both, don’t you think that Zak and Dean would butt heads a lot? I don’t know if it’s just me, but I would have loved to see that dynamic!
Well, that’s it from me today, I’ll see you guys next time.
