Hello Everyone!

Today, we’re taking a look at some of my favourite restaurants here in London. Now, if you know me, you’ll know I love my food. Who doesn’t? Of course, I haven’t been to all the restaurants in London, there are so many I don’t think it would be possible, but we’ll have a gander through, and see what the best ones are, at least for me. I’m talking about both major chains and some dinky little spaces that really charmed me, when I found them. So, join me at the table, and check out these 5 restaurants in London that I highly recommend.
1. The L’ETO Café
Now, I know what you’re thinking, it’s a café, not a restaurant. Well, the café has restaurant qualities, it does have a kitchen, and it does serve high quality breakfasts and lunches. In fact, I’d say this café is perfect for a brunch! If you’re in the mood for egg or a sandwich, I would highly recommend this place. A few years ago, a friend and I were visiting the V&A Museum, when we decided we were hungry, and wandered the streets a bit, before finding the L’ETO café, and needless to say, we were drawn to it instantly. The vibes of the place are so quintessentially British, and classic that we had to drop in and see what the place was about.
I fell in love with it instantly, because it was just so cute. You might have seen a video on my TikTok, highlighting that trip. Of course, I highly recommend visiting the space, specifically the Brompton Road branch, since that’s the one we went to. There are a few others, like in Picadilly and in Soho, but I haven’t tried those restaurants yet, maybe one day I will, and I’ll let you know what those ones are like. Anyway, one of the reasons why I like the place was because they used to sell a saffron milk cake (they don’t anymore), and I fell in love. Not only that but they had a rose flavoured coffee! They don’t anymore, I guess it wasn’t that popular, but I absolutely loved it, and I am so sad it’s no longer being sold. Of course, rose coffee isn’t going to be for everyone, but for the select few, like myself, it’s so difficult to find it anywhere!
2. Din Tai Fung Restaurant
Ok, I’m going to be adhering to the Asian stereotype for this one, but I love my dumplings and Chinese food, it’s why, whenever I’m in London, I end up in Chinatown! However, this restaurant is nowhere near Chinatown. It’s actually on the other end of Central London, near Tottenham Court Road. This one is a fancy one, it’s one of the more expensive restaurants I’ve been to, because the vibes there are very high class. Honestly, on a day-to-day basis, you’d never catch me eating here, because it’s fancier than what I’m used to.
The reason why I’m calling it fancy? They have truffle dumplings! Also, they’re known for their soup dumplings too! Now, why would I include this in my list? Of course, because I’ve been here before, and I have tried the dumplings, and I have to say, it’s as hyped as it should be. Although the portions aren’t big, the dumplings really are flavourful, and if you’re into your dumplings and Asian food, you need to try the food here. It’s amazing! I will say, however, if you want to be seated quickly, make a reservation, there can be long wait times, especially during peak hours, because the restaurant is so popular.
3. Flesh & Buns Covent Garden
Another restaurant I’ve been to, in London is Flesh and Buns. They serve amazing sushi platters and other Japanese dishes (I think you all know I’m in love with my Asian cuisine), like the Miso Grilled Aubergine. Now, I haven’t tried out all of their foods, but one thing that did stand out to me were the desserts! They served s’mores, and not only that, they served it with a real fire, lit on a large stone block! I’m being serious. Check out the video on my TikTok, you’ll know what I mean.
Now, my cousin, sister and I went out for something, I can’t really remember what, but we ate at Flesh & Buns in Convent Garden, and I am dying to go back! I want to try some of their a la carte menu, because we went with the tasting menu. Essentially, you get a choice of some of the items on their menu, for £50 per person, to taste test their menu, and if you like it, the next time you go, you can go a la carte. Again, I would highly recommend you book before you go. Although they accept walk-ins, if you don’t want to wait too long, book the table. You’ll be seated immediately.
4. Floral By Lima
Ok, now we’re veering off the beaten path. This time, we’re talking about a Peruvian restaurant. That’s right! It’s not Asian! Now, it’s been a while, and I don’t fully remember what I ate, when I went there with my cousin, but I know that the food was good! I loved it, and I’d go back to try some of their other dishes too! Hopefully, one day, I will, but that’s a dream for another time. For now, I highly recommend visiting, because the vibes there are so refreshing. It’s bright, it’s spacious, and the artsy space there is very cool and unique.

Now, again, they also accept walk-ins, but to be seated quickly, you should book a table. Their doors open from 12:00pm, so you have plenty of time, in the morning to do whatever else it is you want to do, like touring around the city, or going shopping nearby. It’s more of a dining restaurant than a breakfast/lunch space, although, I did go there for lunch, and if you saw the video, my cousin and I were the only ones there! So, if you want a quiet space, head on over at lunch time.
5. Christopher’s Restaurant
This space has 2 different levels, and again, it’s one of the more luxurious spaces I’ve been to. I’d say this would be the perfect place to host a special event, like a hen do/bachelorette party. It’s a great brunch place, serving reimagined American food, like chicken and waffles, burgers, and yes, rib-eye steak! I’ve been here twice, both on the weekend, and both for brunch, because yes, they serve a weekend brunch menu, and you know what? I’d go again.
Yes, it’s on the expensive side, but it’s worth it, because the food there is absolutely delicious! I’m already saving up to go again and eat some of the more expensive items on the menu. I’m ready to tackle that Wagyu Beef burger! Let me at it! Don’t worry, when I do, you can bet I’ll be vlogging it and giving my reviews on it. For now, I would say go try it out, it’s probably one of my favourite places to go, especially when I’m in Covent Garden.
