Lush London | Episode 1 | The V&A Museum And The L'ETO Cafe

Hello Everyone!

I’m finally following up on this video I made last year! I had thought I’d be able to get to this earlier, but a lot has happened that has kept me from creating this article. Nevertheless, we’re finally here. I’ll try to remember everything that happened on this day, but honestly, since it’s been a year since I uploaded this video, a lot of the details are a little hazy. Of course, with this video, I do remember some things.

So, check it out, and I’ll explain some of the things I don’t say in the video!

Let’s Explore The V&A Museum

So, the V&A Museum is one of my favourites, other than the Natural History Museum and the Science Museum. I suggest, if you want to learn about history and culture, you might want to check out the V&A, it’s got some really fun and amazing exhibits!

Fashioning Masculinity At The V&A Museum

At the time, when this video came out, one of the main exhibits was about fashion and masculinity, and how fashion has helped men seem more masculine, from soldier uniforms to the everyday tuxedo. Although we didn’t check it out (since it was a paid exhibit), there were souvenirs at the gift shop that explained what the exhibit was about, and it was rather interesting.

Inside The V&A Museum

If you’re in London, and you’re looking for something fun and free to do, other than go to the parks, try out the museums. There are many free exhibits that you can check out, especially at the science museum, where many of their exhibits are interactive! Perfect for any family.

The L’ETO Café

This part of the day trip was the highlight for me! I had been to one of the other restaurants nearby (the ELAN Café and I’ll speak about this one in a different video, which will be coming soon!), but I saw the L'ETO Cafe right next to it, and I fell in love with this café. I am not lying when I say that it was probably one of the better cafés I’ve been to, in London!

The L'ETO Cafe - South Kensington

I mean, take a look at the place, it’s adorable! I love the whole homey feel, with the flower pillar in the middle and the marble tables! I would definitely come back here for brunch the next time I’m in South Kensington.

The L'ETO Cafe - Front Window And Signage

I would highly recommend visiting this café, if not in South Kensington, there are bound to be other branches all over London (I know of one that’s opening in the area between Green Park and Piccadilly Circus).

Try The Food

One of the best parts of this café is its food. I myself had a milk cake, which if you haven’t already tried before, I suggest you do. They’re so delicious and creamy, it’s like eating a piece of heaven! I had the saffron milk cake, and I was just blown away! It was just perfect; light and fluffy, and soaked in milk. The saffron wasn’t overpowering either!

Saffron Milk Cake & Jasmine Tea

My friend, who I invited with me, had the eggs with burrata cheese, and I cheekily had a bite, which I do not regret! The burrata and eggs were cooked just right they complimented each other so well! I actually wanted a plate myself, but I wasn’t in the mood at the time.

Eggs And Burrata Cheese, and Rose Latte

Not only that, but my friend also had the rose latte (again, I had a sip), and I am now obsessed with it! Oh, and if you’re not a coffee lover, don’t worry, they provide the coffee separately, so you can pour it in, and have them together, or you can have the latte on its own, and give the coffee to someone else…or leave it…your choice. It was so delicious, I now look for other cafes that do rose lattes, but so far, nothing like it!

Lemon Meringue Tart

Finally, we had the lemon meringue tart. Now, personally, I don’t usually go for sour desserts, but if you do like that little zing on your tongue, I suggest you try it because it was so good. Even my friend couldn’t stop gushing over it.

Final Verdict?

I would highly recommend spending the day at South Kensington, for the museums, and for this dinky little café! I am absolutely in love with this café, and their food. In fact, you can even order custom cakes for special occasions on their website! Check it out and experience the joy that comes with having good food and drinks!
