Hello Everyone!

Today, I’ve got a new post for you! This time, it’s about travelling and exploring! That’s right, I’m finally addressing this section. I will eventually update the Lush London series, but as of right now, I don’t have the funds to finance those videos. So, you’re getting some listicles.

London

Now, I’ve visited London many times, and while most are attractive, tourist spots, there are a few places that I’ve been to, where even though it can get busy, it’s still a cool place to go. From restaurants to activities, here are my top 5 places to visit, in London.

1.   Westfield Shepherd’s Bush

One of my go-to places is Westfield, in Shepherd’s Bush. It is one of the largest, if not the largest, mall in Europe. This place, while teeming with people, has everything you need, from designer stores to quirky stalls, and even a few supermarkets scattered about, Westfield Shepherd’s Bush is one of the best places to visit, to satisfy your retail therapy session.

Westfield Shepherd's Bush

Literally, I come here every time I want to hang out with some of my friends, and as we walk around the buildings, we can’t help but buy a few things. It’s a money trap, especially, when your eyes land on a cute top that will help elevate your wardrobe, or some adorable trinkets that could sit on your desk, while you work. I never leave Westfield empty-handed, and if I do, it’s because I’ve just been for the amazing food at the many restaurants they have scattered around.

2.   Picturehouse Central

As someone who had thought their career would be in the film industry, Picturehouse Central was the basis of my operations, because I’d meet fellow filmmakers and peers here. Picturehouse Central isn’t just a café, it’s a restaurant, an events space, and yes, a cinema. So, if you don’t want to just sit down with a coffee and hang out, or eat some good food, then check out the films they have on show.

Picturehouse Central

Oh, and don’t worry, they’re not affiliated with too many big brands, in fact, their confectionary is not the ordinary type that you see in your regular supermarket. These are bespoke and high-quality products that really enhance your cinema experience. Or, if you’re looking to sit down with a coffee, don’t expect to find your regular chocolate bar or pack of crisps (potato chips for my American friends out there), there are vegan products there that can compete with your average candy, or maybe even beat it.

3.   Bushy Park

Now, this isn’t strictly in London, you’re going to have to travel out a little, to the Hampton area. Of course, if you’re going to visit Hampton Court, then you need to visit the park right outside the castle. It’s such a nice and peaceful place. It’s definitely less busy than Hyde Park, and there are even deer wandering around! It’s such a nice space to be, especially in the spring and summer.

Bushy Park

If you’re looking for a pocket of nature, in the city, then come down to Bushy Park. I guarantee you a more peaceful time here. You’re not squeezing through crowds of people, who also want to see the swans, or with families who dominate half the space around you, because they too are out on a walk. Busy Park is the lesser-known sister of both Hyde Park and Regent’s Park, and definitely worth the visit.

4.   The V&A Museum

I know it’s probably a very touristy thing to do, but I do love going to museums, especially the V&A. It has so much history there, much of it, yes doesn’t belong in the UK, but at least it teaches the British public, and tourists alike, about all the different cultures, lifestyles and histories around the world. It’s worth checking out, if you’re a history buff.

The V&A Museum

Not to mention, the V&A Museum is very close to its big brothers, the Science Museum and the National History Museum. So, if you’re interested in the prehistoric and the future you can also visit these museums too. Oh, and don’t forget they also have dedicated exhibitions that change every season. These ones, you may have to pay for, but for the most part, you don’t need to pay to visit the museums themselves, there will always be free exhibits to learn from.

5.   Covent Garden

There are loads of cute bolt hole shops and cafes in Covent Garden, I don’t really know where to begin. Literally, just step inside the market, and there’s just so much you can buy, drink and eat. Just take one step, and you’ll find a stall selling beautiful handmade trinkets, or step inside a café and eat some delicious pastries while drinking amazing coffee.

Covent Garden

Every time I’m in London, I always wind up in Covent Garden (or Chinatown), wandering the little side streets and finding cute cafes and restaurants, selling amazing food and drink. Not to mention, Covent Garden is only a few minutes away from Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus, where even more shops, restaurants and cafes can be found. If I’m also being very honest, the whole area, including Soho, is one to visit, if you just wander around and find good food.

That's My Top 5 Places To Visit In London!

Ok, so this is my introduction to what you can find in London. There’s so much to see and explore, even I haven’t visited everywhere, but I will do my best to list out the places I have been to, and what you can expect to find there. Believe me, there are many, especially restaurants and cafes (if you can tell, I’m very motivated by food).
