What Other Projects Am I Involved In?

Hello Everyone!

Today I’ll be talking about some personal things here. As you can probably tell, I’ll finally talk to you about some of my other projects. For the most part, it’s about the film industry, but I do also have something up my sleeve that I hope you’ll love, but I’m leaving that one as a surprise, for when it's ready to show. For now, here are some of the projects I’m involved in, other than Feather’s Charm.
The Wood Clan
So, if you’ve come here through The Wood Clan, you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about. For those of you who don’t, The Wood Clan is another YouTube channel, made by a bunch of filmmakers, who just want to film funny skits, create podcasts, play video games, and overall, just have fun…you know, like how YouTube used to be? We decided to post these videos, because it not only helps us out as filmmakers, but it gets some of our ideas across to those in the film industry, because yes, many of these filmmakers are professionals in the industry (except Ife…sorry Ife).

Now, I am part of the clan, as one of its core members. I’m basically its business admin, producer and our fearless leader's assistant (literally, I am in constant contact with him, about our next film sessions). Whenever we need to film skits for the channel (which is usually every week), or whenever he needs someone to help him plan for the next calendar month, I’m always there on hand, to help out. Of course, I’m also there to remind him that YouTube isn’t what it used to be and algorithms need to be satisfied, but I never really force the issue, because we all know the algorithm needs to be satisfied.
Not only that, but I'm also heading its graphics department as well. Other than the logo, some of its main features (like the emotes, backgrounds and featured images), I make pretty much everything else, from the content schedules to the upcoming King Kage Headquarters monthly magazines. Yes, I create the magazines for the Clan as well, which you can look forward to at the end of the month! It's a lot of hats, I know, but I don't do this for the money. I do this for the love of the craft. After all, that's what being a creative is all about.
Anyway, I highly recommend that you check out The Wood Clan’s YouTube channel. It’s funny, it’s fun, and new content comes out weekly, just like Feather’s Charm. Not only that, but if you’re a big fan of anime, gaming, and all things pop culture, we’ve got you guys! So, stop on by and join the clan!
Independent Film Productions & Projects
I'm sure you've seen me say something along the lines of "I graduated from university with a film production degree", somewhere. If not on my social media channels, then here, on Feather's Charm. I don't often go off and film a movie. Most of the time, it's the skit sessions, I have with The Wood Clan. However, there are occasions where I will run off into the real world and play about with other people, filming something. When I do, these are rather obscure, unpaid things that are passion projects of other people, and who can't afford a giant crew.

In fact, a lot of the time, I'm wearing 10 different hats, at once. I'm Assistant Director, Production Assistant, Producer,, Caterer, Camera Assistant, Hair And Makeup Assistant, Extra, and sometimes, even one of the Actors. It's a lot, all at once, and I love it. However, there are times where I do manage to get a role that isn't so heavily reliant on the cast and crew doubling up on different roles. During these times I do get a bit of a break, which is one of the best things about being in film. Sometimes, when things are quiet, you can work on your own projects, or talk to people and promote the things you do.
Why? Because while we're all professionals, we're also creatives, and we all understand the struggle. After all, working in film doesn't mean we're just working on one thing, at any given moment we're working on multiple, and depending on the project, it can sometimes bleed into the main one we're focused on. I've been lucky enough to be on set for 2 films, recently, one called Where Are You (working title), and more recently (in fact, it's the production I'm working on, as this post is going live), a production called Shot Girl or Midnight (working titles - while I am/was on set, the production was called Shot Girl).

Now I won't explain what the productions are about, unless I have the permission to write about them, later, but for both times, I've managed to promote Feather's Charm and The Wood Clan to the filmmakers I was working with. In fact, I managed to recruit one of my directors to the Clan! So, while it might be intense, and while I might be working off less than 4 hours of sleep, some days, it's so much fun. It's busy, and unpredictable, but it is worth it, and I cannot wait to work on more (and maybe some paid gigs this time!).
The Top Secret One
Ok, so like I said, I’m working on one other project that I’m keeping under wraps, but there are those of you who already know what’s going on. Please don’t spill the secret, I’d like to keep it a surprise, for when it’s ready, but I will say it does involve storytelling. It’s actually a project I’ve been working on for years…a decade even, because I started this back when I was in university, roughly 10 years ago. It’s a passion project of mine that has essentially developed a life of its own, and I’m slowly, finally making it a reality.

You’ve probably guessed what it is, and if you have, please be patient, these things do take time, and I want to be sure that it’s ready and as perfect as it can be, for you, when it is. Oh, and believe me, it’s not going to be the only one of its kind, I have many things planned for it, and many things planned adjacent to it. So be prepared for more content, related to this project, to be released here, exclusively on Feather’s Charm (and perhaps on The Wood Clan), and yes, it will be available to members as well. There will also be some content that only paid members are allowed to access. So, when the time comes, I highly suggest you guys subscribe to the payment plans on this website, so you can keep up to date with the vast amount of content I’ll be updating you with, eventually!
That’s It For Now! Stay Tuned For More!
Ok, so this post isn’t as big as some of my other ones, because, like I said, I can’t really talk about some of the projects I’m involved in. However, when the time comes, you’ll know, and I hope you guys will enjoy the things you see. The people who’ve worked on these projects with me have put a lot of heart and soul into them, so if you do have any critiques, please be kind about them. We’re still human after all. Not to mention, these sorts of things only get better with time and experience, and as you continue to support us, you’ll grow with us.
Well, I’m going to go back and continue filming the next skit for The Wood Clan, with the others. While I do that, please don’t forget to like, subscribe, comment, share and follow me, here on Feather’s Charm, on my YouTube channel, on my Twitch channel, on my other social media accounts (Instagram, Twitter/X, TikTok), and on Patreon. Your support really does help me make more content like this, for you guys.
And as always, be kind, be creative, and be unique.
I’ll see you later!
Feather, out!
