Hello Everyone!

Your monthly bullet journal setup is here! This month, we’re prepping for November. Now, for those who haven’t seen the video yet, check it out down below. Essentially, I create my bullet journal setup, while recording, so you guys can get inspired to make your own. So, watch it, before you read, because a lot of things I may say here, might not make sense to you.

Ok, now that we’re all caught up, let’s take a look at why I made the journal the way it is, and what I’m looking forward to in November!

This Month's Bullet Journal Theme

So, I wanted to try and keep in line with the seasonal themes, for November, because it is still technically an Autumn month, and I still wanted to incorporate themes around the harvest, although most of it is done by now. That’s why I went with the cottage themed washi tape that I’d bought, ages ago, from The Washi Tape Shop, which was on sale at the time, and I’m pretty sure they’re sold out now. So, unfortunately, you won’t be able to buy them anymore.

Cover

Nevertheless, because I personally associate November with winter, instead of the browns and oranges we’ve had over the last 2 months, I decided to use blue stamps for the edges, this time around. As I mentioned in many of my previous videos, I associate each month of the year with a different colour. For November, it is blue, because, like I said, for me, it’s the beginnings of winter. So, what could be a more perfect representation of that, than the colour blue?

Overview & Dailies

Of course, I also had to include wintry themed stickers in this setup, to herald the coming of winter, and I did that by also using one of the newer washi tapes that are available in store, at The Washi Tape Shop. Don’t worry, this one’s not sold out, so you can still get them. Just click the link below.

I love this sticker tape, that’s essentially what it is now. Because the images are pre-cut, you don’t need to cut around them yourselves. They’re basically stickers at this point, and I love them. There's also a variety of them, so, it’s not too repetitive. Now, these were perfect for my bullet journal, this time round, because the winter theme was first. You start getting into the Christmas theme, further into the tape.

Calendar

I didn’t want November to be a Christmas setup, that’s going to be December, so, when I reached the Christmas stickers, I was glad, because I’d finished making the layouts and spreads by that point. Plus, it meant I could finish the spread, with the same cottage stickers I started out with. Thus, completing the late autumn/early winter look I was going for.

The Layout

Now, the layout is similar, if not the same as the last 2 months have been. If you haven’t checked out my September and October layouts, I highly suggest you do, so you know what I’m talking about. However, I was a little bit stuck on what to do for my titles and headers. I still wanted to do the stamped schoolbook alphabet look, that was a given, but I didn’t want to fully copy what I did, for September & October. So, instead, I tried something a little new, and I positioned the titles, particularly for the habit and hobby trackers, to the side of the page, instead of at the top.

Hobby Hub

What I mean by that is, when I do titles, I do them in the classic, standard way. Where they’re top and centre, and then the main content is the bulk, beneath. This time, I chose to position them to the side of the page, so that the bulk of the white space is taken up by the stickers and washi tape decorations. It’s an Avant Garde, print way of doing it, because you see these sorts of things done in magazines and posters, and it really does draw your eye to it. So, as time goes on, I might start doing more of these and making more interesting layouts.

Week 1
Week 2

That’s not to say I don’t do interesting ones already, after all, I do change the layout of my daily task boxes, every month. Although, I am starting to see some repetition now. So, who knows what I’ll do for December and beyond, but we’ll see. We’re not there yet. In fact, I’m even thinking about extending my weekly spreads to 2 double pages, to give space to some of the layouts I would like to try and make. However, it is what it is now, and honestly, I’m OK with that. My skills are still developing, after all.

The Verdict

I like this setup. It’s not my best. I say it’s one of my favourites, but in all honesty, it is kind of messy, I didn’t put much thought into some of the pages, partly because my mind and energy were placed elsewhere, and I have other things on my mind, like being part of The Wood Clan, and starting my new Twitch streaming channel. There’s a lot going on, and well, my craft is suffering, a little, for it. Of course, I practice where I can, because I don’t want to lose the skills I’ve developed, but sometimes, it can’t be helped, especially, since I’ll be using a few hours of my day, playing games, on Twitch.

Week 3
Week 4

Oh, did I not mention my streams? Yes! That’s right! I’ll be streaming on Twitch now! Don’t worry, I’ll get into that topic, soon, in a future post, but for now, yes, I’ll be streaming cosy games and puzzle games, on Twitch. So, hang out with me, every Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 7PM BST. I am so excited, it’s a new venture, and I cannot wait to show you guys another side of me.
